چکیده
This work aims to propose a method enabling the evaluation of wind turbine blade damage and fatigue related 1 Hz speed signal applied large period based on standard 10-min SCADA data. Previous studies emphasize need for sampling with frequency when carrying out computation. However, such methods cannot be evaluate long time due complexity computation data availability. Moreover, are not commonly used in farm industry because they require storage capacity. Applying an approach, which is signal, current farms trivial pursuit. The present investigates possibility overcoming preceding issues by estimating equivalent over characterized terms measured mean turbulence intensity. Then, discussion carried regarding estimate uncertainty simulation, bid come up tool facilitating decision-making operator. A statistical analysis assessed different turbines thus proposed determine one has sustained most damage. Finally, probability reaching critical level then proposed, allowing operator optimize operating maintenance schedule.

Monitoring Wind Turbine Vibration Based on SCADA Data
Three models for detecting abnormalities of wind turbine vibrations reflected in time domain are discussed. The models were derived from the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data collected at various wind turbines. The vibration of a wind turbine is characterized by two parameters, i.e., drivetrain and tower acceleration. An unsupervised data-mining algorithm, the k-means cluste...
متن کاملAnalysis of Wind Turbine Vibrations Based on SCADA Data
Vibrations of a wind turbine have a negative impact on its performance. Mitigating this undesirable impact requires knowledge of the relationship between the vibrations and other wind turbine parameters that could be potentially modified. Three approaches for ranking the impact importance of measurable turbine parameters on the vibrations of the drive train and the tower are discussed. They inc...
متن کاملWind turbine blade shear web disbond detection using rotor blade operational sensing and data analysis.
A wind turbine blade's structural dynamic response is simulated and analysed with the goal of characterizing the presence and severity of a shear web disbond. Computer models of a 5 MW offshore utility-scale wind turbine were created to develop effective algorithms for detecting such damage. Through data analysis and with the use of blade measurements, a shear web disbond was quantified accordi...
متن کاملWind Turbine Blade Design
A detailed review of the current state-of-art for wind turbine blade design is presented, including theoretical maximum efficiency, propulsion, practical efficiency, HAWT blade design, and blade loads. The review provides a complete picture of wind turbine blade design and shows the dominance of modern turbines almost exclusive use of horizontal axis rotors. The aerodynamic design principles fo...
متن کاملDamage Detection Based on Static Strain Responses Using FBG in a Wind Turbine Blade
The damage detection of a wind turbine blade enables better operation of the turbines, and provides an early alert to the destroyed events of the blade in order to avoid catastrophic losses. A new non-baseline damage detection method based on the Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in a wind turbine blade is developed in this paper. Firstly, the Chi-square distribution is proven to be an effective damage...
